Organizing a Craft Room

So I have been a busy bee and getting to working hard on my craft room.

I am just so excited about it, and I feel like I will actually want to spend more time in it after I am done.

I showed you the awful mess it was yesterday...

Yep...pretty bad.

Well I got to organizing one little part of the wall.

I added a shelf  and a cute picture of me and the hubs
This was in our kitchen when we moved in and i took it down when we redid the kitchen. However, I didn't want it back in there, and now I have the perfect place for it!

I bought this little bead organizer at wal mart a few years ago when I thought it was a "cool" idea to try my hand at jewelry making.
They were perfect for hanging on the wall and storing things where I can see them.
I have all my buttons color coordinated, my snaps and then my thread bobbins!

Then I found some vases that I used for my wedding reception. You can find them at dollar tree for $1.
What a great way to store my safety pins, hair clips, pins, glue sticks, bias tape, and elastic!

I love that they are clear and I can easily see what I need. But you could always make them pretty by tying a ribbon around them, or painting them.

And there you have it for now...still got lots of work to do.

I have yet to pay anything for this project. The paint is left over from when we painted our downstairs bathroom, and the shelf was from the kitchen.
And as for the vases and organizers, I already had them.
But you can get the organizers at wal mart and the vases at dollar tree and its is still pretty inexpensive!

  2. Just came across your blog- I had to comment and let you know that those little boots you made your daughter are adorable... read in another post. The grey ones. Anyway, great start to your craft room, wish I had that much space to work with!
